Our Mission & Story
Access Edge Solutions was founded by Marcia, an accessibility advisor whose work brings together civil engineering, project management, and lived experience of both visible and invisible disability.
After many years working in engineering and delivery roles, Marcia's perspective changed following a serious accident in 2019. Navigating daily life, public spaces, services, and systems with disability gave her a direct understanding of how small design decisions can either create independence or remove it.
Today, Access Edge Solutions helps organisations understand accessibility as practical, people-centred design. Marcia combines technical judgement with lived experience to provide clear advice on buildings, policies, processes, training, and inclusive decision-making.

Marcia is a member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals.
Every recommendation we make starts with the people who will benefit from it, not the regulations.
We focus on changes that are achievable, prioritised, and genuinely improve access for people with disabilities.
Our advice is always independent, evidence-based, and aligned with New Zealand law and best practice.
Our Core Values

Every person deserves to access spaces and services with full dignity.
Equity
Equal access means more than meeting minimum standards.

True inclusion means everyone belongs, not just tolerating difference.
